History

Julia and Louisa have been friends since they were 12 and co-founded Make Space Decluttering Services in early 2017.

Julia

​Julia has taken pride in cleaning and organising people’s houses for over 20 years as well as working in the care industry, being a PA, a childminder, an estate agent and a mother of three children. She also has a qualification in Life Coaching. Early in 2017, having helped numerous neighbours and friends with decluttering, everything from garages to wardrobes, she decided to channel the expertise and experiences she’d gained into launching Make Space as a business.

Louisa

​Louisa admits she wasn’t born organised. However, having lived and worked in many countries and having moved numerous times, she’s learnt to downsize and scale down belongings on a regular basis. She’s worked as a teacher, in sales and marketing, in TV and as a web producer. In 2015, she launched her own Web Design company from home and now keeps an organised and tidy home office. Louisa also often helps out friends with decluttering and organising, this coupled with a desire to work away from the chains of her PC, meant it was a natural process teaming up with Julia for Make Space.

Louisa and Julia are the perfect combination to help you on your decluttering journey. We have different skill sets that complement each other within our business.

​We are both passionate about wanting to help people on their journey in life, achieve their goals and be able to move forward – perhaps someone has had a relationship breakdown, lost a loved one, are moving a friend or relative into a care home or are struggling to sell their house, or just have the desire or need to organise their home, but don’t know where to start.

​All of these situations can be very hard emotionally, mentally and physically, especially when having to think about what to keep and what to let go of. We will help and support you throughout the process, so that by the time we have finished decluttering you will feel as fulfilled, satisfied and positive as possible.
